Peglegs & Pirates
I realized there was only one sensible thing to do for this Halloween - make a peg leg. I got some serious double takes at a local carnival, even had a kid ask me "are you holding your leg up?"
The end of July 2009 I lost my right leg from the knee down due to a mistake I made while driving my motorcycle. At the beginning of May 2010 I got my 'final' prosthetic with a running foot. I ran the 3200m in high school, and various distances at the college level, this is the story of my return to distance running. I may throw in an ocassional techno-snippet as well.
I'm an amputee as well and I have been wanting to make a peg to be a pirate for the last 10 years. You have to tell me how you made yours! Please!
